Jonah Attuquaye and Joseph Adjei scored as Legon Cities beat Aduana Stars 2-0 on match day 26 of the Ghana Premier League at the Accra Sports stadium.
The Citizens, whose previous encounter against WAFA at Sogakope ended in a defeat, dominated the opening stages of the match pinning the Ogya lads to their half.
Jonah Attuquaye in the 13th-minute opened the scoring from an individual effort to put Cities in front.
Sam Adams came close to fetch the equalizer for the visitors in the 15th minute but Cities goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey denied his effort – as the first half ended 1-0 in favor of the home side.
Back from recess, Legon Cities extended their lead through defender Joseph Adjei in the 54th-minute from the spot to win the game for the Royals.
The win lifts Legon Cities to 11th place in the League log with 32 points.
