West African football Academy forward Issah Abdul Basit has been named Ghana Premier League (GPL) Nasco player of the month for April by the Ghana Football Association after a sterling performance in the month.
The striking expert was nominated for the award along with three others, made up of Berekum Chelsea attacking midfielder Stephen Amankonah, the experience forward Hans Kwofie who has scored 10 goals so far this season, the Legon Cities forward is currently the third most prolific scorer in the Ghanaian topflight and Aduana Stars key player Benjamin Tweneboah.
Tweneboah who joined Aduana Stars from Elmina Sharks in February and has been a key player for the Dormaa-based club. His impressive form saw him score seven goals so far in the GPL.
Basit has come out as the star performer among his competitors and has been declared the winner by the FA on Saturday 22nd May 2021.
Basit has thanked his teammates, the technical staff of WAFA, the fans and his love ones who supported him in diverse ways to be motivated in the matches he has played so far this season. He assured of better output as the season gets tougher.
