Aduana Stars winger, Sam Adams has vowed to payback Asante Kotoko on Saturday when the two teams meet in matchweek 27 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Fire Boys will host the Porcupines at the Nana Agyemang-Badu II stadium in Dormaa in what promises to be a blockbuster fixture.
Sam Adams joined Asante Kotoko on a free transfer after the expiration of his contract from Aduana Stars to replace Jordan Opoku whose contract expired at the club before the start of the 2019/2020 truncated Ghana premier league season.
The 30-year-old featured three times for the Porcupines in all competitions in the abrogated Ghana football season with no goal scored nor assist before re-joining Aduana before the start of this season’s league.
However, without going into details on what transpired during his time at Asante Kotoko, the midfielder insisted that Aduana’s game against the Kumasi-based club is personal revenge for him.
“I’m not going to find it difficult to play against Asante Kotoko in a crucial game like this and I think nobody needs to tell me how important the game is and the need for me to work hard and prepare well.”
“I’m going to prepare for them (Asante Kotoko) and is a payback time because I saw what they did to me when I went there. They will come and meet us here as we are patiently waiting for them. I was there and I saw what happened to me and I will pay them back because this game is very personal for me,” he told Pure FM in Kumasi.
Sam Adams has netted five times in 23 Premier League games this season for Aduana Stars and will hope to continue with his blistering form this weekend.
