Ghanaian winger Maxwell Baakoh has dragged Ghana Premier League giant’s Asante Kotoko SC to the Ghana Football Association Player’s Status Committee.
The Ceramica Cleopatra FC attacker was among a pool of players who were cleared out of Asante Kotoko before the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season started.
Baakoh who was one of the highly-rated wingers in the Ghana Premier League was rejected and was not included in Asante Kotoko squad for the season asuch, went to join Egyptian club Ceramica Cleopatra FC last year.
He joined Ceramica Cleopatra FC on a two-year deal with his contract expiring in the summer of 2021.However, being disgruntled intends to drag the Ghana Premier League giant’s to the Player status committee, Ghanasportspage.com understands.Maxwell Baako has reported the club to the Ghana Football Association claiming he has not been paid his severance packages and also signing on fees.
He is seeking for about GHC 25000 unpaid fees from the club. Kotoko failed to make an appearance at the hearing yesterday for unknown reasons, much to the surprise of the committee. Asante Kotoko SC have suffered similar situations from several ex players who where shipped out including Matthew Kelvin Andoh, Stephen Ayiku Tetteh, and Evans Owusu.
