Asante Kotoko SC head coach, Mariano Barreto has expressed disappointment in his team after dropping point away on Saturday.
The Portuguese trainer led his charges to Dormaa Nana Agyemang Badu park on Saturday for their Ghana Premier League match day 27 fixture. Having plot to stun Aduana Stars with a win to ensure they sit top of the league table, it back fired since they were outclassed.
Though, the Porcupine Warriors came into the game in the second half to create few chances but Aduana Stars were stand out performers right from kickoff but rather failed to count on their goal scoring prowess.
The titanic clash ended goalless after v delightful football.
However, Mariano Barreto says there is something wrong with his team failing to annex all maximum points from Dormaa. He’s disappointed with the draw despite leaving them in contention for the league title.
”Yes someting is wrong because first half, first 20 to 30 minutes we did well but suddenly last 10 minutes in the first half we didn’t play well” he said.
“We give too much space for them and they created alot of chances ”
“Second half we control the game different, we play well but we couldn’t utilize our chances ”
“We came to win and we didn’t get the win and am disappointed for that ” Barreto added.
Currently, the side have accumulated 47 points to sit second on the league standing after 27 league games.
Meanwhile Asante kotoko next game will be against Obuasi Ashanti Gold at the Len clay sports stadium in match day 28 fixtures.
