Head Coach of Bekwai Youth Football Academy, Abdul Rahman has said his side can’t afford a slip when they host Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Round of 64 on Wednesday.
The Bekwai-based Club will face Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 at the Nana Gyamfi Park in Bekwai on Wednesday.
Speaking ahead of the big match tomorrow, the coach of BYFA, Abdul Rahman believes his side are ready to eliminate the Porcupines from the competition.
“Asante Kotoko is one of the biggest clubs in the country and have achieved a lot as a club so we respect them for that but we are confident of beating Asante Kotoko tomorrow in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 in Bekwai and make it to the last 32”
“There is no pressure on BYF Academy but rather on Kotoko because they (Kotoko) needs to advance to the next stage more than BYF Academy”
“We are doing our normal training and my players are determined to make history and also seal big contracts for themselves as Samuel Frimpong did when both teams met in the FA CUP in 2017,” he told Kumasi-based Adehye3 FM.
The last time the two teams met in the competition, BYFA defeated Asante Kotoko 2-1 in Bekwai.
