Bekwai Youth Football Academy (BYFA) defender, Augustine Sefah says his side will face a difficult test this afternoon when they take on Asante Kotoko in the MTN FA Cup round of 64 fixture.
Sefah, who at the beginning of the current football season joined the lower-tier side from Asante Kotoko, stated this in an interview with Kumasi-based Opemsuo FM.
The two clubs have met once in the same competition in 2017 where the Porcupines defeated the Division One side 3-1 on penalties to advance to the next stage.
However, the experienced defender who was part of Kotoko’s FA Cup triumph in 2017 opined that, the platform is good for young talents in the team to exhibit what they have for the world to see.
“Personally, I want to make history with BYFA, and playing against Asante Kotoko at this time in the FA Cup is a perfect opportunity for me to do that.”
He continued, “The game will not be easy, but we are encouraged by the fact that we are playing against a big club which will provide a unique platform to showcase the talents on our team.”
“I have told the players to use the game to make a name for themselves because if they play well it will land them a juicy contract,” he concluded.
