Former Hearts of Oak SC defender Joseph Owusu Bempah has refused a move back to the Ghana Premier League where his career all begun.
The 25-year old Ghanaian had a successful career in the Ghana Premier League where he traded with New Edubiase United and Real Tamale United on loan before a big move to Accra Hearts of Oak SC in 2012. His performance abroad especially in Serbia has been very phenomenal, however, he has ruled out a return back to the domestic league.
After a successful season spell with Borac Cacak, Joseph Owusu Bempah has refused another stint as he is currently a free agent but not looking at the Ghana Premier League as an option.
“I have not thought of coming back to play the Ghana Premier League, it’s not part of my plans for now”Though, I urge players to came back to relaunch their career and make the league also attractive but the acceptance of returnees is always a problem”, the former Ghana U-20 captain told Pure FM.
“The returnees some don’t only come to play but nurture the young ones with the experience and make the league attractive but they will not allow him”
“I will not say they should not come and play but for me, I have not made up my mind to return”.
Owusu Bempah previously played for Borac Cacak, Radnicki Pirot, Proleter, Sloboda Uzice, Murciélagos, Vojvodina all in Europe.
