Astute Ghanaian football administrator Nana Firtz believe Black Stars head coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor is being used as a scapegoat by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The position of the Ghanaian trainer has come under several threats, as reports in the local media suggest that he will be sacked before the next African Cup of Nation’s in Cameroun. The former Dreams FC and Asante Kotoko SC gaffer took the position of Black Stars from Coach Kwasi Appiah in February last year.
However, his days in office has not being smooth as he is being manipulated by top officials.
According to Nana Firtz, his sack is imminent but he’s being used as a scapegoat following the appointment of an expatriate trainer as an assistant coach.
“The Ghana Football Association have no audacity to request for a white coach, it’s a lie, Charles Kwablan Akunnor is like a woman he can’t talk, they force it on him”, Nana Firtz told Agyenkwa FM.
“The Black Stars is bigger than C.K Akonnor, looking at the way things are going, he is used as a scapegoat, C.K Akonnor have no trust in David Duncan, we should ask David Duncan if he was informed about the white coach” Is the Minister aware of this”?
“The Minister should sit up looking at the way things are going, this one is a daylight Robbery”The FA should be sacked if this is what they’re going to do”
“Ghanaians should know we can’t win the AFCON trophy with this”, Nana FitZ added.
UEFA License A holder with over 25 years of worldwide top football experience, Patrick Greveraars has been appointed as Assistant coach to Coach Charles Kwablan Akunnor.
