The Black Meteors team suffered an embarrassing 6-0 defeat to the Olympic team of Japan in an international friendly played at the Best Denki Stadium Stadium in Fukuoka, Japan on Saturday morning.
The game started with the Asian side enjoying lots of possession with some scoring opportunities coming their way.
Japan took an early lead after Kubo Takefusa’s shot hit the crossbar and Doan Ritsu slot it home to beat goalkeeper Willam Esso in post.
Kubo after some minutes fetched the second for the Japanese before Frank Assinki scored an own goal to give the Asian nation a three-goal lead.
Japan capitalized on some sloppy play in the Ghanaian defence to score their fourth goal of the game through Soma Yuki to end the first half 4-0 in favour of the home team.
After recess, the Japanese continued their dominance in the game.
The Japanese side who will play in the upcoming Olympics which will be held in Tokyo kept capitalising on Ghana’s porous defending to net the fifth through Ueda Ayase.
There were no threat from the Ghana team throughout the game and Japan put icing on their cake as they scored the sixth and final goal of the game through Mitoma Kaoru.
