The Sporting Director of Cagliari Stefano Capozucca has confirmed that his outfit would not have Ghanaian midfielder Alfred Duncan in their edifice.
According to Stefano, the Black Stars defensive midfielder has helped the Italian side since joining from Fiorentina but he will not stay. The 28-year old joined Cagliari on loan from Fiorentina in the January transfer.
Despite, Duncan impressive performance for Cagliari he will not sign a permanent deal but rather return to parent club though his loan deal had an option to sign him permanent.
Duncan will return to parent club Fiorentina as they prepare for the upcoming season.
“We have no intention of redeeming him”He gave us a great hand but will return 100% to Fiorentina” Capozucca said.
The former Sassuolo player made 23 appearances for the Cagliari in the just ended season helping them to escape relegation.
