Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed could leave the club at the end of the season for a new club when his contract expires.
The 29-year-old joined Hearts of Oak in 2013 from Real Tamale United and has become an indispensable figure in the squad for the Phobians this season, guiding the one-time CAF Champions League winners to the summit of the Ghana Premier League.
Fatawu signed a two-year contract extension in 2018 and it comes to an end at the end of the season. However, Ghanasportspage.com‘s sources reveal that player is reluctant to extend his contract with the Phobians.
The right-back is less motivated to continue plying his trade with the team as he wants to seek challenge elsewhere after spending more than 6 years with the club.
Fatawu had featured 21 times for Hearts of Oak in the current Premier League season.
