Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew believe the Stars are gradually progressing with their style of play despite ending Ivory Coast friendly in a 0-0 draw.
The Ghana National team on Saturday, where held to a goalless draw at the Cape Coast Stadium by the Ivorian National team in their second International friendly game.
After losing 1-0 to Morocco days ago, the four times African Cup of Nation’s winners were expected to make alot of differences especially playing against a Francophone country who are a born to reckon with on the continent.
Nevertheless, they managed with a goalless draw having created few goal scoring chances.
Speaking after the encounter, Swansea City winger Andre Ayew have hailed his mates and satisfied with their outstanding performance on Saturday evening.
“Solid performance, tough game, we wanted to win at home but we didn’t get it”
“It was a 50-50 game but I think we showed a lot of determination, good play, they were very dangerous at set pieces but we were able to handle them”
“We are still progressing but now we have to get ready for Ethiopia because that is a must win game” he said.
The Stars will commence their 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia in September this year.
