The Ghana Football Association has a matter of agency, ordered Ghanaian trainer Hamza Obeng to pay Medeama Sporting a paltry GH₵ 37,500.
After weeks of the FA receiving complaint from the Tarkwa based outfit Medeama SC, ruling has taken place. Coach Hamza who joined Accra Hearts of Oak SC from Medeama SC has been ordered to pay a compensation to the club.
Medeama SC were demanding damages in excess GH₵ 90,000 for the “unilateral” termination of his contract.
However, the Status Committee has rejected the residual value claim by Medeama, insisting the coach must pay the club a meagre GH₵ 37,500 for breach of contract.
The Mauve and Yellow outfit backed their case with legal justification for financial claims citing multiple adjudication cases from FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
They said the decision by coach Samuel Boadu and Hamza Obeng are “premature, unacceptable and above all abuse of office.
as an employee” and did not find it expedient and prudent to warn or complain to the club before taken the decisions.
Hamza Obeng quit his role at the club on March 16 but joined his boss at Hearts of Oak eight days later.
