Communication Director of Ghana Premier League giant’s Medeama SC, Patrick Akoto believe their former trainer Coach Samuel Boadu disrespected the club to the highest.
According to Patrick Akoto, the path on which the Ghanaian trainer preferred to channel was disrespect to the highest level, considering how the club gave him a career lift in coaching. The club admit that, the departure of the budding tactician has affected them both physically and emotionally.
They least expected such an act of disrespect from Coach Samuel Boadu who had four years stint with the Mauves and Yellow outfit.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi based OTEC FM, Akoto revealed that the team was not having plans for a new coach having placed their trust in Coach Samuel Boadu for years and hoping for a better day with him.
“We didn’t plan for a new coach, he (Samuel Boadu) woke up one day after a game and told us he has resigned. Do you know the psychological trauma he took the club through?
“We were forced to go and hire two coaches”
“A lot of things went on and it has really affected the club because the timing was wrong. That is why the club has resolved from the board that the matter must see its logical conclusion”
He added; ” I won’t lie to you, the way Samuel Boadu left Medeama Sc has hit him (Moses Packer) so much, especially how he announced his departure to him. An elderly person who gave him a career lift in coaching shouldn’t be disrespected in that manner”
“Though he has no problem of him (Samuel Boadu) leaving his club, giving him his resignation letter on the pitch after a two-nil win against Eleven Wonders is one thing that has really hit him”
“Maybe in the future, Samuel Boadu shouldn’t repeat it anywhere because you don’t disrespect a club owner and a club like that in that manner” he added.
Medeama SC though have secured GH₵ 30,000 as compensation for unilateral termination of contract but have filed an appeal against the Ghana Football Association on Coach Samuel Boadu.
