Ex- Hearts of Oak defender Godwin Osei Bonsu believes the Phobians are firm favorites to clinch the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title.

The former Ghana U-20 star is confident that the Rainbow lads will run away with the title after the season despite pegging points with arch rivals Asante Kotoko SC.

The Continental Club Masters are contesting the Ghana Premier League title with five matches to end the campaign with the only thing separating the two sides being goal difference. Both teams will face each other on match day 31 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanasportspage.com Osei Bonsu disclosed that the Phobians are doing marvelously well and will end the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League season as Champions.

“I have followed Hearts of Oak SC for sometime now, they are doing marvelously well just that the COVID-19 has affected everyone”

“The standard of play is phenomenal as compared to our days with the club, we performed massively well to even win the league and as you can see these boys are also on course to win a title”

“Patience is very Paramount in everything we do, though Hearts of Oak have gone years without a major trophy but I can assure you they will win this league”

“I strongly believe Hearts of Oak SC will clinch this title after all matches been played”Togbe Afede XIV is doing great with his management”.

Both Hearts of Oak are currently tied on 53 points apiece with Asante Kotoko on top with a superior goal difference but even before their Super Cup game Hearts of Oak SC will face Legon Cities while Asante Kotoko play against Karela United.

Godwin Osei Bonsu played for Hearts of Oak SC from 2009 to 2013. He joined after wining Gold medal with the Ghana National U-20 team at the Africa Championship.
