Medeama SC midfielder Eric Kwakwa wants the Ghana Football Association to offer stiffer punishment to Aiyinase based Premiership side Karela United FC.
The Ghanaian midfielder suffered attacks when his outfit faced Karela United at the CAM park in the MTNFA cup round of 32 clash on Sunday. The visitors suffered series of brutality by the home supporters who were angry over the treatment melted on them in Tarkwa during their Ghana Premier League visit.
According to fans of Karela United FC, Tarkwa Akoon park was an unbearable venue for them when they visited to honor their Ghana Premier League game weeks ago.
A brutal act which ended in cold blood, saw Eric Kwakwa severely injured in the hand following stones attacks and smelled chemicals on him during recess. Medeama SC bus was smashed with stones causing damages all around.
Despite, the Ghana Football Association placing indefinite ban on the Crosby Awuah Memorial park Eric Kwakwa who suffered brutality wants stiffer punishment handed Karela United FC.
“GFA should give Karela United a stiffer punishment”
“I was lucky the stone didn’t hit my eye. It came through the roofing of the dressing room during recess. Two stones were thrown to my direction, urine and “apia” were poured on us”, the 26-year old told Oyerapa FM.
“Football Authorities should rise to the occasion least something nasty will happen in Ghana Football. It’s never true our supporters beat them when we played at TNA park in the league”
“Their supporters warned us at the beginning of the match, the threats were too much and our management did the best thing by notifying the GFA and nothing was done about it”.
Karela United FC lost 2-1 eventually in the MTN FA Cup round of 32 to Medeama SC.
