The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) has expressed their displeasure on the acts of Karela United FC supporters following their uncultured behavior on Medeama Sporting Club.
On Sunday, giant’s Medeama SC received a shock of their life at the Aiyinase Crosby Awuah Memorial park when supporters of the home fans descended heavily on them with series of attacks.
During the course of the MTNFA cup round of 32 game, the bench of the away team suffered brutality with the smelling of hurtful chemicals. Nevertheless, the first half action was done but assaults continued even to their dressing room where Medeama SC midfielder Eric Kawkaw got injuried during the process.
The game though had Medeama SC leading 1-0 before the unfortunate incidents occurred, it ended prematurely.
Professional Footballers Association of Ghana has taken to twitter to condemn the level of hooliganism perpetuated by supposedly Karela United FC fans.
The Ghana Football Association with a matter of urgency, banned the Crosby Awuah Memorial park indefinitely.
The @PFAGofficial is absolutely gutted to hear of the attack on Medeama players at Aiyinase on Sunday
Hooliganism and thuggery have no place in football and acts of violence perpetrated by individuals cannot be tolerated.
