Legon Cities will host league leaders Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Ghana Premier League matchweek 30 fixture.
The Phobians have been impressive under head coach Samuel Boadu as they are on a run of seven games without defeat, winning six and drawing one which has catapulted them at the summit of the league log with 53 points.
But ahead of the midweek clash against the Phobians, the Royals are bent on ending the league leaders impressing run.
Legon Cities need a win to boost their chances of surviving relegation in the Premier League. However, Jonah Attuquaye who just returned from Black Meteors’ Asian Tour is confident his side will pick the maximum points on Thursday.
“I wasn’t here these past weeks due to National assignment but I am happy to be back, safe and sound. It is unfortunate things didn’t go quite well but time to fully focus on my darling club.”
“I raise my game in every match not only against Hearts or any other club. But Hearts know my game and what I can do. They should be very worried on Thursday.”
“We will do well and finish the season strongly. We want to win all the games left as soon as possible.”
The first game in the first round of the season ended 1-1 with Jonah Attuquaye scoring for Legon Cities in the 10th minute before Kwadwo Obeng Junior equalized for Hearts of Oak in the 86th minute.
