Legon Cities head coach Bashiru Hayford has down played pressure arousing from sectors of the league as they host Accra Hearts of Oak SC mid-week.
The Royals are scheduled to host Hearts of Oak on Thursday in their Ghana Premier League match day 30 fixture. Despite, pressure mounting on them to end Hearts of Oak unbeaten run the Ghanaian gaffer believe it’s a normal game played most often.
Hearts of Oak have chalked sterling recents in their last 7 games and are hoping to chop off their City rivals Legon Cities in their quest for the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League title.
However, Coach Bashiru Hayford is not perturbed with the threat of Accra Hearts of Oak SC who have secured five streak wins in their last Premier League matches.
“So many people have talked about this coming match, some are terming it to be extraordinary, some are even using the word super extraordinary but me as a coach I know is just one of the matches we play”Because when you are going to war and you think the war is above you, you don’t have to appear at all”, Bashiru Hayford told the press ahead of the encounter.
“I feel that with the materials I have, compared to the other opponents materials, is just a matter of convenience that they have themselves in another team, there is no clear cut difference between the players there”We are taking it as a normal match, go in as always like we played in the first round”.
“Now we have materials available so we are going into this game to redeem our image, we are not going in as underdogs but equal opportunity fighters”.
“At the end of the game the best team will carry the day”, he added.
The match day 30 encounter between the two is scheduled for Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
