Former Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak defender Samuel Nzemaba has tipped the Capital based outfit to annex all maximum points on Sunday when they host Asante Kotoko SC in the Ghana Premier League SUPER CLASH.
The two giants will be squaring off on Sunday at the Accra Sports Stadium in their Premier League match day 31 fixture. The titanic encounter which has seen many talking has hit the four corners of the state, considering the performance of both teams in the ongoing 2020/21 premier league campaign.
Both teams begun the season poorly and at a point in time, parted ways with their trainers who started the campaign with them.
Asante Kotoko SC replaced Maxwell Konadu with a Portuguese trainer Mariano Barreto whiles Hearts of Oak brought in Samuel Boadu from Premier League rival Medeama SC. The duo have respectively transformed their sides and ground up to the summit of the Ghana Premier League table.
Currently, both teams have amassed 56 points each after 30 league games.
Coach Samuel Boadu is yet to taste a defeat in his last eight games including the MTN FA Cup where he has qualified the Phobians to the round of 16.
Hearts of Oak SC have gone six consecutive wins in the Premier League after beating Legon Cities on Thursday.
Commenting on the game, former Hearts of Oak captain and ex-Asante Kotoko defender, Samuel Nsemaba believes the Phobians are firm favorites to win the Super Clash on Sunday.
According to him,Hearts of Oak spiritually are ahead of Asante Kotoko and besides, Hearts of Oak’s current form is something to be scared off.
“Games like this can either make a player or kill a players career but looking from close range the match will be a delight to watch, Nzemaba told ghanasportspage.com in an interview”.
“But I’m very hopeful Hearts of Oak will carry the day on Sunday considering the current form of Hearts of Oak, I fear for Asante Kotoko. This time if they are not careful, they will be defeated”, he predicted .
He also commended coach Samuel Boadu for a great job he’s done so far since taking up the coaching job at Hearts of Oak.
“Coach Samuel Boadu has brought improvement to Hearts of Oak team and that’s the worry, should Asante Kotoko fail to plan well Hearts of Oak will not spare them. Hearts of Oak have character especially when playing against their bitter rival Asante Kotoko. Hearts of Oak spiritually are above Asante Kotoko. I captained Hearts and played for Kotoko and I know what am saying”, he emphasised.
Winner of the super clash will define the winner of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League trophy.
