Hearts of Oak captain Fatawu Mohammed has credited his impressive form in the second round of the Ghana Premier League to head coach Samuel Boadu.
Fatawu Mohammed on Sunday was adjudged the most valuable player on the pitch when Hearts defeated Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium in matchweek 31 fixture.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh scored the only goal of the match to win the day for the Phobians as they are inching close to an elusive title scalp with three matches to go.
However, the hardworking right-back who led the team to the Super Clash victory has repaid the faith reposed in him by Samuel Boadu after he was sidelined by former coach Kosta Papic. In a pitchside interview after the game, Fatawu credited Boadu for his turnaround in his performance.
“I give praise to my coach Samuel Boadu for pushing me hard to do more in the training ground,” he said
“He always tells me to work hard and he has been part of my form guide recently. This is not where I want to be now, I want to work hard for the club and fly”
“The supporters has been very fantastic this season so we thank them and I thank all my players for working hard till this moment” Fatawu added.
Fatawu Mohammed has made four assist for the Phobians in the ongoing Ghana Premier League so far .
