The Ghana Football Association weeks ago, ordered two Ghanaian trainers Samuel Boadu and Hamza Obeng to pay Medeama Sporting a paltry.
Hamza was charged GH₵ 37,500 by the GFA Players Status Committee and slapped Samuel Boadu to pay GH₵ 30,000 to Medeama as compensation for unilateral termination of contract.
Medeama SC were demanding damages in excess GH₵ 90,000 for the “unilateral” termination of Hamza contract and GH₵ 70,000 from Boadu.
However, the Status Committee has rejected the residual value claim by Medeama, insisting the coach must pay the club a meagre GH₵ 37,500 for breach of contract.
The Mauve and Yellow outfit backed their case with legal justification for financial claims citing multiple adjudication cases from FIFA and the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
They said the decision by coach Samuel Boadu and Hamza Obeng are “premature, unacceptable and above all abuse of office.
However, reports reaching Ghanasportspage.com reveals that, Accra Hearts of Oak has transferred an amount of Ghs 67,500 to Medeama SC’s account which will settle the compensations of Samuel Boadu Ghs30k and Hamza Obeng Ghs 37,500.
Togbe Afede who is the club Board Chairman wants closure on the matter to allow the coaches focus on their title chase as they move closer to finishing the season.
Meanwhile, the Ghana Premier League giant’s filed an appeal against the Ghana Football Association a day after following their verdict on former coach Samuel Boadu.
The verdict by the FA ordered, Samuel Boadu should pay GH₵ 30,000 to Medeama as compensation for unilateral termination of contract.
However, Medeama SC have appeal against the Ghana Football Association on the aforementioned ruling asking the Appeals Committee to overturn the selective decision of the Player Status Committee and make definitive declarations to restore confidence in the judicial system.
The appeal which was only on Coach Samuel Boadu is yet to be heard by the Player Status Committee (PSC).
