Hearts of Oak leading marksman, Kwadwo Obeng Junior says beating rivals Asante Kotoko in last Sunday’s Super Clash is the greatest moment in his career.
Hearts recorded an important 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Kotoko at the Accra Sports stadium to move closer to ending their decade-long trophy drought.
Samuel Boadu’s side outplayed, outfought and outthought their opponents before a fantastic volley from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh sealed the win in the 65th-minute.
However, in an interview with Dormaa-based Voice FM, Obeng Junior who is the club’s leading goalscorer with 9 says helping his side defeat the Porcupines is the greatest thing that has happened in his football career.
“The feeling was so great after we defeated Kotoko. It is the greatest moment in my football career”
“Yes, I agree with those saying that Samuel Boadu is the best coach in Ghana”
“It’s too early to say that we have won the league, we have three more matches “
“We are battle-ready for Ebusua Dwarfs on Sunday, we are going all out for the game”
Meanwhile, Hearts have now moved three points clear of Kotoko on the league table, and boosted their hopes of winning the title for the first time in 11 years.
The Phobians now need to win two out of their remaining three league matches to be crowned champions.
