Karela United FC have revealed the reason behind asking head coach, Evans Adotey to step aside until the current season ends.
According to the club’s spokesman,Nii Armah Ashong, the ex-Medeama trainer has been battling health issues and thus has been given some time off to save him from getting divided attention.
“Yes we (Karela Fc) have asked Coach Evans Adotey to step aside because for sometime now he has been on and off camp to battle his sickness at the hospital and we think it’s not helping the club,” he told Kumasi based OTEC FM
“We (Karela Fc) want the assistant coach to concentrate on the club while he (Evans Adotey) battle with his sickness.” He added
The Aiyinase side released a press statement on June 29, to announce their decision to let Evans Adotey step aside.

Karela United after a strong start to the season and leading the table at some point have been inconsistent in the latter part of the campaign and as a result sits 7th with 46 points with matches to go.
