Hearts of Oak defender, Nuru Sulley has revealed the secret behind their greatest performance displayed under the tutelage of coach Samuel Boadu.
Samuel Boadu joined Hearts from Medeama at the halfway point of the season, the Phobians have been on fire and have not looked back.
Boadu who guided the former Caf Champions League winners to post a 1-0 win against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko last Sunday in the Super Clash, has gone almost 13 games undefeated.
They’ve scored 22 goals and conceded 16 in the process.
Even when it seemed like Asante Kotoko and Barreto had the title wrapped up, Hearts crawled back and capitalized on the Porcupines’ slump in form to steal the first place.
“Since his appointment, he (Samuel Boadu) showed us love, made us know that we are his children, therefore, we should play with our hearts, and looking at the kind of discipline and training session we undertake, he has really helped us, not forgotten the sense of togetherness he has brought among us. This is what has brought us this far,” Sulley told Kumasi FM.
“The league for now I can say it’s ours.” He added.
Meanwhile, Hearts have now moved three points clear of Kotoko on the league table, and boosted their hopes of winning the title for the first time in 11 years.
The Phobians now need to win two out of their remaining three league matches to be crowned champions.
