Zambian international Patson Daka is the latest African striker to join the Premier League, after signing for Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City from Austrian side RB Salzburg.
The 22-year-old has been tearing it up in the Austrian League and arrives at the King power with a growing reputation.
During his time in Austria, he scored 68 times in 125 appearances, making him one of the most potent strikers in Europe.
“I’m so, so excited to join this great, historic club. It has been my dream and I’m so happy and looking forward to what’s coming next,” he said on his move.
He joins a long list of African stars to play in the Premier League and will look to follow in the footsteps of many.
Didier Drogba, Emmanuel Adebayor, Yakubu Aiyagbeni, and Mohamed Salah are arguably the best African strikers to play in the league, with numbers backing them.
Drogba tops the list of top African goalscorers in the League’s history, thanks to his 104 goals, with Adebayor and Salah tied on second.
The Ivorian will most likely lose his top spot soon as Salah is only seven goals away from matching his mark.
