The giant’s are close to appointing former Ghanaian International Anthony Baffoe as their new Managing Director.
Hearts of Oak SC have been without a Managing Director after asking Frederick Moore to proceed to indefinite leave months ago.
According to inside reports gathered by ghanasportspage.com, Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak led by Togbe Afede XIV have approached the hardworking Ghanaian to step in to help the club. The source says, talks between the two parties have advanced to peak and sooner or later make an official pronouncement on him.
Anthony was CAF Deputy General Secretary but tendered in his resignation letter for the Phobia job. He left the continental football body on the last day of June 2021.
Baffoe was the Deputy General Secretary since 2017, and was in charge of Football and Development at CAF.
Having resigned from the Confederation of African Football, the former FC Metz and OGC Nice defender tweeted to fans on twitter hinting on taking a new role in Ghana.

The 56-year old previously served on FIFA and CAF Football Committees. He was also involved in organizing CAF and FIFA sanctioned tournaments.
In February 2006 he was named “Director for International Relations” for the Ghana national football team. He is the founder and General Secretary of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana(PFAG). In that capacity is in close contact with the FIFPro Players’ association and works in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association.
Baffoe is a FIFA Ambassador for campaign against racism, a FIFA ambassador for SOS Children’s Village and an ambassador for Play Soccer Ghana.
