West African Football Academy (WAFA) narrowly beat Inter Allies at the Red Bull Arena in Sogakope on Saturday.
Alhassan Seidu’s early strike was enough for the Academy Boys to revenge Allies after losing the reverse fixture by the same score line in February.
Inter Allies are already relegated and have now lost five games consecutively following the defeat to WAFA.
Enoch Asubonteng set up Seidu for the opener in 5 minutes in the first half.
Allies had opportunity to pull parity on the 15th minute, where they were awarded a penalty.
Unfortunately, WAFA goalkeeper Boliver went the right way and saved the penalty keeping the score intact for the hosts.
Hence, the opening half needed 1-0.
WAFA in the second period managed the game to record their 11th home win of the season.
The Sogakope sides following the victory have climbed to 3rd on the league log with two matches left to wrap up the 2020/2021 campaign.
