Aduana Stars managed to escape with a narrow victory over struggling Ashanti Gold Sporting Club on Monday after their game was rained off.
The Ogya Boys with a late minute goal from Emmanuel Osei Baffour run away with a vital home win propelling them to a respectable position on the Ghana Premier League table.
The match day 32 clash between the Ogya Boys and the Miners turned to a football war zone when both teams failed to hit a shot at target in the first 16 minutes having lacked precision and accuracy. Ashanti Gold SC shot stopper Dennis Votere was tested with series of long range shot after the homers have settled down.
Goalkeeper Dennis Votere with a superb one on one save on the 20th minute mark denied Aduana Stars taking the lead.
Stephen Owusu Banahene came close to breaking the deadlock but had his power dealt by Joseph Esso.
