Head Coach of Asante Kotoko has been fined GHc3,000 and suspended from the Club’s next two official matches after pleading not guilty to misconducts in the Ghana Premier League Matchweek 22 game against Legon Cities in Accra.
The Porcupines defeated the Royals 1-0 and after the game, the Portuguese trainer made some derogatory comments against the officials over their performance on the day.
A statement which in the opinion of the Ghana Football Association is likely to bring the game into disrepute and have handed a fine and suspension to Barreto despite pleading not guilty to the charge against him and have handed a two-match ban to the gaffer and a fine of GHc3000.
This means that the Portuguese will not be available in the club’s last two Premier League games against Bechem United and Elmina Sharks.
