The Ghana Premier League (GPL) giant has provided injury updates of their squad ahead of week 33 fixture against Bechem United at Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Center back, Ismail Ganiu and midfielder, Emmanuel Keyekeh are both doubtful for Sunday’s game whereas shot-stopper, Kwame Baah and Habib Mohammed misses out.
According to the club, Ganiu has a slight knee problem and thus warmed the bench for the Reds in their 2-1 victory against Asokwa Deportivo in the MTN FA CUP on Tuesday.
For Keyekeh, he is nursing a thigh injury and has to prove his readiness with few days left to the match.
Also, striker Evans Adomako despite scoring on Tuesday had an individual session at Adams Jachie on Thursday and has to prove his fitness before the trip to Bechem.
Meanwhile, Coach Mariano Barreto’s first choice Goalkeeper Kwame Baah has been ruled out due to a face cut suffered in training on Monday. The former Ghana U-23 goalie is set to resume training next week.
Additionally, the Porcupines will also be without their center half Habib Mohammed this weekend. The makeshift midfielder suffered an ankle injury two weeks ago in the club’s 1-0 defeat to Hearts of Oak and thus has missed the last two matches.
The latest report indicates that the former Ashanti Gold defender is hoped to join his teammates before the season ends.
Asante Kotoko are trailing Hearts ofOak by 3 points at the top of the table will hope that the former slip up in the remaining two games in the league while they take full advantage.
