Hearts of Oak forward Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has received GH₵ 5,000.00 from Hisense for his goal against Asante Kotoko in the Super Clash few weeks ago.
Daniel Afriyie’s 66th-minute strike handed Hearts of Oak a 1-0 victory against Asante Kotoko, a victory that won the Phobians their first league title since 2009.
Afriyie’s goal earned him GH₵ 5,000.00 from Asante Kotoko’s sponsor Hisense, which is a reward for scoring a winning goal against the Porcupines.
As part of the three-year sponsorship agreement between Kotoko and Hisense, any opposing player who scores a winning goal against Kotoko in a league game will receive GH₵ 5,000.00 from Hisense.
Representative of Hisense made the presentation to the 19-year-old at the Accra Sports Stadium after Hearts of Oak 1-1 draw with Liberty Professionals which aided to lift their 21st Premier League title.
Daniel Afriyie becomes the fifth player to benefit from the initiative this season after Michael Yeboah of Great Olympics, Samuel Bioh of Aduana Stars, Alhaji Mustapha of Elmina Sharks and Richard Boadu of Medeama.
