Ghana Women’s Premier League champions, Hasaacas Ladies, has received a combine $12,530 from the office of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana and National Youth Authority for their involvement in the maiden Caf Women’s Champions League (CWCL).
The most successful women’s team in Ghana appealed for funds as they prepare towards a trip to Côte d’Ivoire for the qualifying round of CWCL which will be played in a group format.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawomia after hearing the plea, sent a delegation to present $10,000 to the club on Monday, July 12.
Moreover, NYA through Ghana Women’s Football Chairperson, Madam Hillary Boateng, has reportedly donated GHC 15,000($12,530) to the club on the same day.
Hassacas Ladies have completed their mandatory COVID-19 test and travel to the neighboring country this week.
The ‘Dooo’ girls will kick start their tournament against Rivers Angels FC on July 17, before a last group game against Association Sportive De La Police Nationale.
