King Faisal defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in a rescheduled Premier League fixture to move closer to avoiding relegation. The game was initially supposed to take place on Saturday but was postponed to Sunday due to a heavy downpour.
King Faisal opened the scoring in the 52nd minute through a beautiful effort from Zubairu Ibrahim. The Insha Allah boys continued to dominate the game and doubled their lead in the 60th minute. Zubairu Ibrahim again the goal scorer to net his 7th goal of the season.
The remaining minutes of the game saw no goals as it ended 2-0 in favor of King Faisal. A win that sends them an inch closer to avoiding relegation. For Dwarfs, they’ll have it all to do next weekend when they host Bechem United in the final game of the season.
However, King Faisal’s leading marksman and top scorer Kwame Peprah got himself in the history books of the Ghana Premier League after bagging his third consecutive man-of-the-match award.
The 21-year-old won the MVP award in their win against Legon Cities in Techiman and their 1-1 draw against Asante Kotoko last weekend and in Sunday’s win over Dwarfs.
Overall, Peprah has won the accolade 7 times and has netted 12 goals and 12 assists.
