The Hearts of Oak skipper has requested the introduction of goal line technology for the 2021/2022 Ghana Premier League season.
Fatawu Mohammed says the Phobians in the current term have been denied goals that would’ve been awarded if the technology was in use.
The full-back, moreover, suggested to the football governing body in the country, Ghana Football Association(GFA) to make next season more modernized by introducing other new technologies.
“It will be helpful to get goal line technology and the others in our football because we scored goals that were not awarded because didn’t have that kind of technology.”
“Therefore, I think in the 2021/2022 season, if we are able to introduce goal line technology it will be very helpful.” He told ghanasportspage.com
The GFA has already begun process of introducing Video Assistant Referee (VAR) in the Ghanaian top-flight with 2022/2023 as the set season to enact the system.
Ghana will become the first West African Country to implement VAR if the process goes as planned.
