Hearts of Oak captain, Fatawu Mohammed, has applauded Ghana Football Association (GFA) president, Kurt Okraku for overseeing a competitive 2020/2021 league season.
According to the skipper, it was a difficult season but happy Hearts of Oak prevailed.
Fatawu in an interview with ghanasportspage.com requested for more of the same in the subsequent years.
“What I will tell ‘Game Changer’ and the entire board is that we are thankful that they were able to organize a difficult league like this for us the players.
“Because it was like an examination that requires deep thinking. We are thankful to them for organizing such a difficult tournament and at the end of the day Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak the ‘Continental Masters’ were able to survive.
“We are thankful to them all for the exercise. We hope it will be the same for the subsequent years.” He told ghanasportspage.com.
Hearts of Oak on last Sunday was crowned champions of Kurt Okraku’s first full season since taking over the presidential seat in 2019.
His first would’ve been the 2019/2021 season but was interpreted by COVID-19 and hence was cancelled.
