Karela United talisman, Diawisie Taylor, won the top scorer award of the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League(GPL) season netting 18 goals for the Ayinasie side.
The ex-Bibiani Gold Stars striker is now the fourth player to win the accolade with the aforementioned figure since 1999.
Taylor had a marvelous scoring form this season and thus won the prestigious individual award.
The Ghana U-23 striker added his name to the list on the final day where he scored in Karela’s 2-1 defeat to Aduana Stars FC in Dorma.
Taylor following the consolation goal at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park finished a memorable campaign with 18 goals in 31 games.
The previous three players to have reach the achieved the feet includes, Charles Taylor and Don Bortey who both scored 18 each in 2001/2002 Hearts of Oak, and Prince Tagoe who reached the mark in 2011/2012 also for Hearts of Oak.
However, Hearts of Oak legend Ismael Addo holds the record with most goals in a season in that period with 22 goals in 2000/2001.
