Medeama SC midfielder, Richard Boadu was named man-of-the-match in his side’s narrow win over Berekum Chelsea on Sunday.
The midfield general kept things ticking for the Yellow and Mauves in their 1-0 win on the final day of the season at Tarkwa Akon Park.
Both teams could not break the deadlock in the first period, hence the first half ended goalless.
Chelsea remained resolute as they looked to manage a point in the away fixture.
However, they couldn’t hold on long enough as Medeama winger Theophilus Anobaah was brought down in the box very late in the game.
The referee whistled for a spot kick and Kwesi Donsu dispatched it beautifully.
Richard Boadu at the hart of midfield controlled the tempo of the game and thus was rewarded for an outstanding display.
The midfield enforcer has been on the radar of league Champions Hearts of Oak for a long time now and were close to signing the player during the second transfer window of the just ended campaign.
