Asante Kotoko SC are yet to open talks with center back, Abdul Ismail Ganiu whose contract runs out in October.
Ganiu signed his current contract back in October 2018.
The Black Stars defender has been on the radar of many clubs both local and foreign, including Ghana Premier League champions Hearts of Oak.
The 24-year-old had a stellar season for the Porcupines that earned him a Black Stars call up for the AFCON 2022 qualifiers.
Undoubtedly he is one of the top performers of the 20/21 Ghana Premier League Season with 4 man-of-the-match awards and three goals to his credit along side little over 13 clean sheets.
Several reports claimed the center half has rejected the club’s proposal in May.
According to Ganiu’s agent Yussif Chibsah, the Reds are yet to propose a new deal for the defender.
“He has few months left in his contract but I don’t want to go into details. As I speak the Kotoko management have not offered any proposal for contract extension. For now that is the situation.” He told Kessben FM
