Former Ghanaian footballer, John Paintsil has discovered a new passion in life after hanging his boots to explore his other inner talents.
The retired Black Stars defender and former assistant coach of South African club Kaizer Chiefs has taken on a completely different career path away from sports and now ventures into the entertainment industry, particularly the movie industry.
Retirement could have meant putting his feet up and just taking it easy but the former Leicester City and Fulham full-back knew his work was not finished.
In some photographs available to Ghanasportspage.com, the former West Ham man was seen acting with comic actor Lilwin and other mainstream stars in the Kumawood industry. The Photos were from the yet-to-be-released ‘Agya Bofo)’ series from the camp of Lilwin’s Weezy Empire.
Painstil who retired from football in 2016 rose through the ranks of the junior national team after playing a role in Ghana’s second-place finish at the 2001 FIFA World Youth Championship in Argentina.
He earned his first call up to the Black Stars same year, enjoying a total of 89 caps, although without a goal.
He last played for the team in 2013 when he made Ghana’s squad to the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
