Ashanti Gold SC Public Relation Officer, Eric Karikari, has said the club is prepared to defend their image against match fixing allegations regarding their heavy win over Inter Allies on Sunday.

“All and Sundry at Ashanti Gold is ready to appear before any investigative committee to prove our innocence, we have nothing to hide. From directors of the club to last person , we have no hand in any match fixing , we were even surprised at what the Inter Allies Player did.”
“There is nothing wrong with the five goals we scored. I think it’s the two own goals that has resided questions about the match. If somebody made a mistake leading to goal then I think mistakes are part of football and it is genuine mistake. If not for the two goals the player scored when he came on, our goals were okay.” He added
Ghana Football Association in a release on Monday, 19th July, 2021 is said to have commence investigation into the game played during the last round of matches in the 20/21 Ghana Premier League season.
