French side Stade Reims have seen their approach to take Daniel Afriyieh Barnieh on trial knocked back as Hearts of Oak are only interested in outright transfer bids.
Phobianews.com revealed that the Ligue 1 side had invited the 20-year-old to train with them ahead of a potential move.
According to the report, Hearts are unhappy with the request tabled by the Ligue 1 side hence rebuffing their request. The Phobians are bent on building a formidable side that will rule locally and internationally as was the case in the early 2000s and are thus poised to keep key players deemed important to this cause.
The much-maligned and lampooned Barnie has been the most improved Hearts player in recent weeks endearing himself to the fans of the club especially with that lone goal scored against Asante Kotoko that cushioned Hearts’ lead on the table in their title push.
Barnieh led Ghana’s U-20 team, the Black Satellites to the 2020 CAF Youth tournament triumph in Mauritania.
