The Black Stars skipper heads to the Gulf as he set to complete a move to his 7th different club in his career.
Qatari side, Al Sadd in the late hours of Wednesday, announced the signing of Andre Dede Ayew via a Twitter Post.
The 31-year-old is expected to land in Doha tomorrow to seal the deal worth $220,000 a month without tax, which amount to $2.6m annually.
Ayew had a marvelous 20/21 season for Championship side, Swansea city, leading them to playoffs with his 17 goals but unfortunately couldn’t make into the EPL as Brentford put the breaks on the Swans in the final.
The Ghana captain bid farewell to Swansea after his second stint with the club came to an end(run out of contract) right after the season in May.
Currently, Ayew is set to join his 7th different club since making his professional debut for Olympique de Marseille(OM) in 2007.
He spent almost 8 years with OM where he had two load spells to French sides Lorient in 2008 and Arles-Avignon in 2009 before securing a permanent move to Swansea City in 2015.
After a successful season at the Liberty Stadium, Ayew secured a club record £20.5m move to West Ham United in the summer of 2016.
However, the left-footed forward returned to Swansea two years later for another club record £18m deal which rose to £20m in add ons.
Swansea then loaned him out for a season to Fenerbache few months after re-signing the winger, which was his sixth different club.
