The Senior National Women’s football team of Ghana, Black Queens are set to participate in a six nations tournament hosted by Nigeria in Lagos.
The said tourney will be organized by the Nigerian Football Federation(NFF) with Confederation of African Football (CAF) giving the go ahead for the competition to come off in September this year.
The countries set to represent include host nation Nigeria alongside 5 invited nations, Ghana, South Africa, Cameroon, Mali, and Morocco.
The mini-tournament is to cushion the teams ahead of the African Women’s Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in October.
In exclusive chat with Communications Director of the Super Falcons, Mrs. Oluchi Tobe-Chukwu, she confirmed that all associations have accepted the invitation with the games set to be played within 6 days, September 14- 20.
Oluchi added that CAF President, Patrice Motsepe will grace the occasion in the last quarter of the year.
Meanwhile, Ghana have a scheduled AFCON qualifier against Nigeria, first leg in October while the second leg comes off in February 2022.
