Asante Kotoko SC Chief Executive Officer(CEO), Nana Yaw Amponsah(NYA) says the Reds 2020/2021 season can be described as ‘fairly’ a successful campaign.
Ghana’s successful club missed out on the Ghana Premier League title(finished second place), bow out of the the domestic league cup in the quarterfinals, and were booted out of the CAF Champions League preliminary round followed by a playoff exit in the CAF Confederation Cup after dropping from the first tier competition.
NYA in an interview with Oyerepa FM summed up the term as satisfactorily successful, situating it to the management’s short term targets.
“I would say it was fairly successful not completely successful and we would situate it according to our short term goals”
However, the CEO apologized to the fabulous fans for ending the season without a trophy.
“I want to say sorry for not achieving the set targets of Kotoko. Of course we achieved a lot of things within the short term plan. It would have been nice to win the league or the FA Cup or the CAF Champions League we played or the Confederation Cup despite all the challenges.”
