Former head coach of Medeama SC Samuel Boadu has replied to claims by Medeama’s PRO Patrick Akoto that the club gave him the platform to achieve the feat he has today at Hearts of Oak.
Boadu joined Medema from third-tier side Shooting Stars but resigned on February 25, 2021, to join Hearts of Oak after three years in Tarkwa.
In an interview on Asempa FM on Thursday morning, Patrick Akoto who is the Public Relations Officer for the Yellow and Mauves said his outfit offered a platform for Boadu to showcase his coaching prowess.
“We take extreme delight that we picked Samuel Boadu and gave him a huge platform. Very few clubs or perhaps none at the Premier League level would have dared to take that risk especially when he was hugely unknown”
“But we believed in him and he has successfully guided Hearts to the league crown.
Samuel Boadu who wasn’t happy with Akoto’s comments claimed in a text message that, Medeama didn’t give him any platform, but he rather went there to work.
“Please tell Akoto to stop talking about given me platform. What platform? I work for them and not given me platform. So he should stop that,” he fumed with a text to Asempa FM Morning Show host Kwadwo Mensah.
In a rebuttal though, the Medeama PRO angrily hit out at Samuel Boadu that posterity will judge him if he claims Medeama never gave him the platform.
“Posterity will judge him for what he has said.”
Boadu guarded the Phobians to their first league title in twelve years and are in the semi-final of the MTN FA Cup which they will take on Medeama on Sunday at the Cape Coast Stadium.
