Ghana U-23 striker, Daniel Lomotey, has said he is hopeful of ending his long goal drought since joining Algerian side, Entente Sportive Sétifienne in January, 2021.
The former West African Football Academy(WAFA) talisman has struggled with minor injuries as well as goals since signing a three-year deal for the North African giant early this year.
Lomotey provided his first assist for Seftif last Tuesday in a vital 1-1 away draw against ASO Chief that keeps the White and Blacks title hopes on course.
“Yes, it is okay and am very happy with my assist. It’s been a long time as everyone is expecting goals as I used to score for Ghana and WAFA. As I said earlier am still adapting to their system of play and gradually I am getting used to it. I am happy with the assist in the crucial away draw. I am also expecting the goals to flow soon.”
“I know everyone is expecting a lot from me ES Setif, am sure the goals will come very soon as my aim is to assist ES Setif to win the Algerian League.” He said in an interview quoted by Denart Soccer Academy
Daniel Lomotey before his move to Setif led Ghana Premier League top scorer race with 8 goals.
