The technical handlers of Black Stars B have hit the ground running by inviting players for assessment. The invited players numbered forty-three. A break down of the squad goes as follows.
The coach decided to, in the mean time, go for five goalkeepers, Richard Attah, Razak Abalora, Richard Baidoo, Danlad Ibrahim and Stephen Kweku. Of the five goalkeepers, Accra Hearts of Oak had one, Asante Kotoko two, Accra Great Olympics and Karela United having one apiece.
Defenders are Fatawu Mohammed, Philemon Baffour, Simon Martey, Ibrahim Imoro, Dennis Korsah, Yakubu Shaibu, Rashid Mohammed, Robert Addo, Konadu Yiadom, Ismail Abdul Ganiu, Ibrahim Abdlah and Terry Yegbe. Twelve defenders were listed for invitation, two came from the camp of reigning Premier League Champions Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko, Dreams FC and relegated Ebusua Dwarfs. The rest are split among other clubs.
The midfielders who had the opportunity to report are Benjamin Afutu Kotey, Razak Kasim, George Asamoah, Maxwell Arthur, Salifu Moro, David Abagna Sandan, Gladson Awako, Salifu Ibrahim, Augustine Boakye, Rashid Nortey, Frederick Ansah Botchway, Jonah Attoquaye, Enoch Asubonteng, Emmanuel Gyamfi, Samuel Ashie Quaye, Daniel Afriyie Barnieh, Victor Oduro and Augustine Boakye.
Eighteen midfielders are in line to make a good account of why they deserve a stay. Of that number, four were drafted from Accra Hearts of Oak, three players from Accra Great Olympics and one player represented Asante Kotoko in midfield, whiles other clubs took charge of the rest.
The attackers for the duty are Kwame Peprah, reigning top scorer of the Ghana Premier League Diawisie Taylor, Stephen Amankona, Maxwell Abbey Quaye, Prince Opoku Agyemang, Abdul Rauf Salifu, Alhassan Siisu and Prince Owusu. They sum up to eight but no attacker from Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak were able to make the list. Players such as Kojo Obeng Junior and Francis Andy Kumi got missing in action.
The attackers were split among King Faisal, Medeama and Berekum Chelsea. Newly promoted Bibiani Gold Stars, who won Zone two of the Division One League had a representation in Prince Kwabena Owusu.
Zone three champions were not left out as an attacker Abdul Rauf Salifu was drawn from their squad. Tamale-based steadfast had Alhassan Siisu being invited into Black Stars B camp.
The coaches are likely to prune down the squad as the day goes by. The players are required to give their maximum best and cooperation as soon as business commenced in the camp.
