The Asante Kotoko SC second assistant coach says only four players worth staying at the club for next season.
Johnson Smith led the Reds to the top of the table at some point in the just ended season while he was interim coach.
The club before the start of the second round hired Portuguese trainer, Mariano Barreto and a first assistant coach, pushing Smith to third in command on the technical bench.
Kotoko eventually ended the season trophyless and when asked about his assessment of the team he said:
“Only 4 players will stay at Asante Kotoko If I am to be allowed to do my own recruitment and assessment with this current Kotoko team, only four of the current players excluding the goalkeepers will stay” the former Karela United manager told Westgold Radio 106.3
Meanwhile, the experienced gaffer maybe on his way out after the club have planned to have only license A coaches in their dugout.
Smith hold license B and could not make the cut.
